this is not an article to go into lightly. it is not something to read without expecting to be profoundly affected. i feel sick to my stomach and i can’t stop crying. but if you are in such a space where you are capable of handling the topics involved, then it is a worthy read. a devastating one. such a world this is.

What if a 15 year old is bullied to death thanks to deceptive hate mongers like Anderson. Yes, nothing shows off your moral authority like manipulating people’s emotions through deceit. No big surprise she was inspired by Bachmann. 

Reading this made my chest physically hurt. My heart hurts. How can we do this to our children in the name of politics? They are our children. They need our love and support. They need to feel like they matter, like they count. The ones who feel pushed aside and invisible are the ones most likely to make choices that could hurt them.

And the teachers aren’t without blame. How can you just stand aside and let this happen because you might lose your job? I know the economy sucks, but is your financial security really worth someone’s life? If you stay silent when you could have saved one of your students, then you are a spineless coward, and I hope you carry that weight with you for the rest of your life.

Fuck your political maneuvering and your religious intolerance and your baseless fear mongering. These are our children. Make room for them to be who they are or shut the fuck up.
